Steel Magnolia is a fully renovated beach home that has three bedrooms each with adjoining bath/shower. The master bedroom on the second floor features double French doors opening to your private screened porch. A king sleigh bed, Jacuzzi, stereo and large walk-in closet also await you. The other bedroom on the second floor has 2 combo double bed/single bunks. The grand kids love this room to hang out and play video games on the 25" TV.

Lots of space.
Just off the kitchen downstairs is the 3rd bedroom. It has a queen bed, 25" LCD TV/DVD player and walk in closet. The 3rd floor tower room doubles as a small office and has a double futon. The teenage grand kids have been known to spend the night up there on the porch talking and then sleeping in the morning till it is time to go to the beach.

Steel Magnolia's back Door leads to plenty of secure play area when not at the beach. A great place for barbecues, too. The house is nestled amongst native live oaks giving you plenty of privacy. The hammock would be a perfect place to sip on an ice tea or enjoy the fresh ocean breezes! Parking for 6 vehicles. Boat/jet skis welcome.

Steel Magnolia sleeps 10 comfortably but by utilizing the futon and couches for the kids, you can reasonably accommodate 12, making it ideal for multiple-family, multiple-generation family vacations or for getaways with multiple couples and friends.

It is the perfect venue to be close to the wonderful attractions of the Emerald Coast--beach, excellent golfing, fishing, crabbing, dining sailing, bike riding, or just taking it easy; yet away from the traffic and crowds in Panama City Beach and Destin. You'll have over two miles of empty and undeveloped beaches - and pristine dunes directly to the west. The area is known for its natural beauty, the lack of high-rise condos, and a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. No over-commercialization here. The area is perfect for morning walks and peaceful quiet time. Watch some of the most stunning views of sunsets ever from the balcony.

Of course, the beach is the prime family attraction associated with Steel Magnolia. Easy beach access along the paved walkway less than 300 yards to the walkover. Enjoy crystal-clear waters and sugar-sand beaches. The gulf is so clear it feels like you are in the Caribbean!! There is SO much more nearby. Rides, shows, and other attractions, including Shipwreck Island Water Park is in Panama City Beach, which begins just five miles east.

The first tee at Tom Fazio's Camp Creek Golf Course is only a five minute drive from STEEL MAGNOLIA. Many other fine courses are nearby, including Fred Couples' Kelly Plantation (one of the most pristine you'll ever play); Regatta Bay (some say it's better than Kelly Plantation); Hombre (2002 and 2004 PGA Tour Qualifying School site); Holiday and Signal Hill (great value); Bay Point (2 courses - The extremely tough Lagoon Legend with its 152 slope rating and Club Meadows); Greg Norman's Shark's Tooth(restricted public access) and Santa Rosa Golf and Beach Club.

Deep-sea fishing is at its best boating out of Panama City. Bring back some big ones from your boat that you found at a boat auction like the pompano, redfish, Spanish mackerel, bluefish or bonito that you just caught to grill for dinner. Use one of the 4 bikes at the house to ride the 19 mile paved trail along 30-A to Seaside, Grayton or ride down to Rosemary Beach for ice cream, lunch, or just to shop. The trail is great for biking, hiking, roller blading or just walking and talking. Like to kayak? Rent a pelican kayak and explore the coastal lakes where the calm, protected water is perfect for kayaking.
